She has appeared on guest appearances in shows such as Real Time with Bill Maher, Fox News (CNBC), Fox News (Fox News) and CNN (CNBC). Ball married Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball attributes her further political interest to her experience after becoming an expectant mother in the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the outcome of the 2008 US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She was able to observe how the election affected the people of that country and developed an appreciation for US politics' global impact. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st district. She lost to Rob Wittman in 2010. She hosted The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 through July 2015. She launched the People's House Project in May 2017 to help Democratic causes.
